Lost Ratings Slip

LOS ANGELES, February 16: ABC’s Lost fell to a ratings low for a new episode this week,
delivering 12.8 million viewers versus the time slot’s winner, CBS’s CSI:
NY
with 14.63 million viewers.

This week’s viewership was down on the 14.5 million who
turned out for last week’s episode, marking the show’s return to the schedule
after a hiatus.

ABC has put its weight behind regaining Lost’s past ratings glory–the series was delivering
more than 20 million viewers in its first season. The network moved the show
from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. to get it out of the way of FOX’s ratings juggernaut, American
Idol
. At the end of last year, Lost also saw some of its viewership eroded by CBS’s Criminal
Minds
.

ABC is, however, hailing the success of the show in the key
18 to 49 demographic, where it secured a 5.6 rating and 14 share, versus the
4.4 rating and 11 share for CSI: NY.
