Looking Glass Scores Raft of Sales

COLLINGWOOD: Discovery Asia, Globosat in Brazil and ABC and SBS of Australia are among the broadcasters that have picked up documentaries from Looking Glass International. 

A package that included Megawheel, Sunday at 5, Mad About English, Back Home: Roots of a New South Africa and Dance: The Lion was sold to Al Jazeera Documentary. Discovery Asia went for Travel Wild, Megawheel and The Hunt for the Mad Trapper, while Globosat picked up My Son the Pornographer. Foxtel in Australia also snapped up My Son the Pornographer, along with Born to Fly.

Over in Russia, Red Media Group acquired the second season of Travel Oz, along with Mongolian Eagle, Raiders of the Sulu, Chef in Black and Just to Get a Rep. Sky Arts of the U.K. took the hour-long Bela Lugosi: The Fallen Vampire. In Australia, ABC also picked up the Bela Lugosi title, as well as Just to Get a Rep. SBS took Brother No. 2. 

Hungary’s Duna TV picked up Veil of Dreams, and Vital TV is now set to air Bare Beauty. Veil of Dreams is also headed to DVD in the U.S. through Films Media Group. In Asian deals, NHK acquired Mad About English and First Flower, and EBS of Korea also took First Flower, along with the hour-long doc Salty Love
