LIVINGtv Picks Up Three Series from Warner Bros.

BURBANK/LONDON, June 30:
Following the L.A. Screenings, Warner Bros. International Television has sold three
series to the U.K. channel LIVINGtv.

Justice, from Emmy-winning executive producer Jerry
Bruckheimer offers a behind-the-scenes look at how high-profile cases are tried
in the media age. Men in Trees,
from Emmy-winning executive producer Jenny Bicks (Sex and the City), is a dramedy about finding love in the most
unexpected places. And the comedy Happy Hour is about a guy who moves to Chicago to be with his
girlfriend, only to be dumped and have to find a job, apartment and new life.

“As soon as we saw these shows we knew we
had to have them,” says Claudia Rosencrantz, the director of programs, at
LIVINGtv, one of the Flextech channels in the U.K. “They are classy, quirky and
compelling. For me, Justice was
the standout show of the Screenings.”

“This deal builds upon our excellent
relationship with the Flextech family of channels, who last year stepped up to
license the first runs of Close to Home,” said Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, the president of Warner Bros.
International Television. “We are pleased that these shows, which had multiple
bids from the terrestrial broadcasters, have been acquired by Flextech. This
acquisition is both an indication of the growth of the cable and satellite
channels in the U.K. and the growing importance of U.S. series on all
broadcasters’ schedules.”
