Little Airplane, Spin Master Team for Preschool Series

NEW YORK/TORONTO, September 9: Little Airplane Productions and Spin Master Entertainment are developing Stella Takes the Stage, a new preschool series that incorporates a groundbreaking visual style called theatre arts animation.

Stella Takes The Stage is about a charismatic little girl who shares the big events of her life from an ever-changing paper stage. The new series will combine elements of traditional theatrical stagecraft with cutting edge computer animation. The new visual style, theatre arts animation, is being developed by Little Airplane for exclusive use on this new series. The theme of Stella Takes The Stage is self-knowledge and the educational curriculum is developed by child-development expert Dr. Laura G. Brown (The Wonder Pets!, Ni-Hao Kai Lan).

“Little Airplane is thrilled to be partnering with Spin Master on this innovative new preschool show," said Josh Selig, the president and founder of Little Airplane Productions. "They are a young, energetic and extremely creative team. We look forward to working on this series as partners and bringing it to the market together in early 2010."

“Josh and Little Airplane have an unprecedented reputation for reinventing themselves with every project that they create,” added Matt Wexler, an executive producers, at Spin Master Entertainment. “Jennifer [Picherack] and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to be working with Josh on an original project that will marry our shared passion for entertaining children and telling great stories.”
