NEW YORK: The new short-form animated series Small Potatoes from Little Airplane Productions has landed presales in Europe, Australia and Canada.

Broadcasters that have picked up the 26×3-minute series include CBeebies in the U.K., NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, ABC in Australia and TVO and Knowledge in Canada. CBeebies will launch the show, which follows a musical band of four potatoes, in summer 2011.

"The Small Potatoes are the Beatles of the fresh produce aisle," said Josh Selig, the founder and president of Little Airplane Productions. "Their music has universal appeal and can be enjoyed by parents and children alike. I have never loved one of our shows as much as I love this one."

"Little Airplane demonstrates that real music, made with real instruments, voices and simply thoughtful songwriting, appeals to all ages," added Mindy Thomas, the program director at SIRIUS/XM’S Kids Place Live. "Small Potatoes is as easy on the ears as it is on the eyes."
