Lionsgate SCI FI Series Slated for January Launch

NEW YORK, November 10: Production is under way in Toronto on
The Dresden Files, the
Lionsgate-produced drama that launches on SCI FI Channel in the U.S. in
January.

Terrence Mann has joined the cast of the supernatural
detective series, which stars Paul Blackthorne (24, Deadwood)
as Harry Dresden. Mann’s recent television credits include Law and
Order and Love Monkey. Based on the best-selling series of novels by Jim
Butcher, The Dresden Files tells
the story of Harry Dresden, a Chicago-based private detective with
extraordinary abilities. Where others see typical crimes of assault, kidnapping
and murder, Harry sees otherworldly forces at work. Nicolas Cage is among the
show’s executive producers.
