Lionsgate In Co-Development Deal for Mobile Content

SANTA MONICA/MADRID,
September 15: Lionsgate has inked an agreement with Zed to co-develop a host of
its film, TV and music properties, as well as original content, for mobile
distribution.

The Lionsgate library
includes the SAW horror
franchise, Dirty Dancing, Mad
Men
, Weeds, Crash,
Paris Hilton’s My New BFF and Nurse
Jackie
. Lionsgate and Zed will
jointly oversee financing, development, production, marketing and distribution.
The agreement will create new revenue streams and creative opportunities
through traditional ringtones, wallpaper and games, along with new forms of
mobile video and interactive communities.

clearly increasing penetration of the mobile market, and as two next-generation
entertainment companies, we're excited to form our global partnership with Zed
to create a powerful new industry model for mobile entertainment," said
