Lionsgate Adds Coppola Films to Home-Entertainment Catalogue

SANTA MONICA: Lionsgate has signed a multi-year home entertainment distribution agreement with filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope, covering films such as Apocalypse Now and Tetro.

Lionsgate now holds the North American DVD, Blu-ray, EST, VOD and broadcast TV distribution rights to a number of films from Coppola, including Apocalypse Now, Apocalypse Now Redux and others, as well as the North American DVD, Blu-ray, EST and VOD rights to The Conversation. The first title to be released as part of the deal was Tetro, Coppola’s most recent theatrical release. The next release under the new partnership will come October 19, when Lionsgate will present Apocalypse Now for the first time ever in HD.
