Lineup Announced for International Emmy World Television Festival

NEW YORK, October 30: Presentations from Al-Arabiya, KBS and
New York’s Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting, as well as a
panel on multiplatform content creation, are among the highlights of this
year’s International Emmy World Television Festival, which takes place November
18 and 19 at the Sofitel Hotel in New York.

The event, held in advance of the International Emmy Awards
Gala on November 20, kicks off with a cocktail party hosted by Ronald S.
Lauder, the founder and chairman of Central European Media Enterprises (CME),
at the Neue Galerie, on November 17. Home Box Office (HBO) will be hosting the
closing cocktail on November 19.

Highlights include presentations by Dubai-based news Network
Al-Arabiya, Discop, Korea’s KBS, Ile de France Film Commission and the Mayor’s
Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting. The Festival will also host a
technology panel entitled “Producing for Cross-Media Platforms.” In addition,
the producers of this year’s nominated programs in nine International Emmy
categories will discuss their shows. International Emmy Award Nominees will
receive their medals at the Saturday-morning Nominee Medal Ceremony. The
Academy will also present the Sir Peter Ustinov Young Scriptwriter Award, to
winner Nemer Rashed, for his script The Great Mcginty.

established as the only place where you one can watch television from all over
the world and meet with the program makers,” said Bruce L. Paisner, the
president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts &
Sciences, and the president of Hearst Entertainment. “It is also a unique
platform for organizations wanting to promote themselves to the global
television community.”
