Lifetime to Adapt Patricia Cornwell Novels

LOS ANGELES, April 15: Lifetime Television is set to launch
the first television adaptations of two novels from international author
Patricia Cornwell: At Risk and The
Front
.

At Risk was
originally published in January 2006 as a 15-week serialization in the New
York Times Sunday Magazine
, and was then
published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons in May 2006 and became a number one New
York Times
bestseller. The Front will be released by Putnam on May 20. Cornwell will
serve as an executive producer alongside Stanley M. Brooks and Jim Head of Once
Upon a Time Films (The Capture of the Green River Killer, Broken Trail) and Russell Werdin and Lane Bishop of Twinstar Entertainment.

Tanya Lopez, the senior VP of original movies for Lifetime,
said: "As we continuously reinvent our popular Lifetime Original Movies,
we're expanding the genres and including more works by America's leading women
writers. Patricia Cornwell is in a class by herself and we are honored she has
chosen Lifetime as the vehicle to bring these two brilliant novels to
television."
