Lifetime Chief Exits

NEW YORK: Andrea Wong is leaving her post as president and CEO of Lifetime Entertainment Services, just a few months after the company was acquired by A&E Television Networks.

Wong exits ahead of her contract expiration in April. She has led the female-skewing channels group since April 2007 following a long stint at the ABC network. "As with all acquisitions and mergers, change is inevitable," Wong said in a memo. "Now that my role in the acquisition of Lifetime by AETN is concluded, and the integration of the organizations including a more streamlined management structure is nearly complete, I believe that it is the right time for me to step down."

Abbe Raven, the president and CEO at AETN, said: "We thank Andrea for her many contributions to Lifetime. We wish her well in her future endeavors."

Reports indicate that History’s executive VP and general manager, Nancy Dubuc, is Wong’s likely successor at Lifetime.
