LifeStyle FOOD Commissions Reality Series About Cake Making

SYDNEY: Freehand Productions has been commissioned by XYZnetworks’ LifeStyle FOOD channel to produce an eight-episode docu-series, Planet Cake.

The 8×30-minute show will follow the daily operations of Planet Cake, an Australian cake business run by Paris Cutler. Known as "The Cake Queen," Cutler is a stickler for perfection and has a strict eye for detail. Each week the team at Planet Cake races against time to design, create and deliver custom masterpieces. Production on the show will begin immediately, with a launch slated for later this year.

"This is going to be a wonderful series,” said Peter Abbott, the director of production at Freehand. “We’re thrilled to be working with Paris and her team of obsessive, passionate and highly sought-after cake makers for this project and continuing our collaboration with LifeStyle FOOD.”
