LazyTown Strikes New Deals

REYJAVIK, February 4: LazyTown Entertainment has inked a raft of new
merchandising and broadcast deals across Latin America and Europe for its hit
children’s series LazyTown.

In Latin America,
a deal has been reached with Gerber Products as part of the YUKERY jarred food line, skewed towards 3- to
6-year-olds. Two sizes will be available in different fruit flavors, with free
collectible LazyTown
items if a pack of six is purchased.

In other
licensing and merchandising deals, LazyTown Entertainment has inked a deal with
Mono Azul in Argentina for SportsCandy units that will contain six pieces of
fruit—apples, pears or bananas—and a set of free stickers. In
Brazil, LazyTown is set to launch a branded direct apparel line with C&A,
with products to be available in stores in early 2008.

Meanwhile, in
Europe, LazyTown has reached a deal with Swedish company Froosh to manufacture
healthy fruit smoothies for Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and
Germany. The line consists of three flavors of “LazyTown Smoothie” which will
roll out in the Nordic region in April and in Germany later this year.

For broadcast
deals, LazyTown has finalized an agreement with Jetix to air the series in
Eastern Europe from early 2008.

Agust Freyr
Ingason, the executive VP of LazyTown Entertainment, commented: “[The] rollout
of the brand internationally across all media continues to flourish. We are
very pleased with the range of businesses which have embraced the LazyTown
Movement, and will continue to search out the best partners and license
opportunities for the brand worldwide over the coming year.”
