KidsCo Scores Further Taiwan Carriage

LONDON: KidsCo has signed a deal with the Taiwan DTH operator DishHD, following on recent launches across Asia on further platforms in Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia and Hong Kong.

The channel will be airing classic KidsCo shows such as Sabrina: The Animated Series and Sonic Underground. Also featured will be original programming like Boo & Me and Jass Time!

Paul Robinson, the managing director at KidsCo, said: “The Asian market is an absolutely vital part of our business and is one we want to expand further. We already have a strong presence in the region and this deal with DishHD allows us to reach many more children. What is equally important to us is that we work with companies who understand how big a role the media plays in the lives of children. We have a responsibility to provide high-quality, educational and entertaining shows to as many children as possible. We’re pleased to have found an operator as dedicated to this as we are.”

Bert Klein, the VP of business development at DishHD, added: “Children’s television is an important area for us. We want to provide quality entertainment for the whole family. Simply airing content that will keep kids entertained is no longer enough, modern television needs to provide not only entertaining, high-quality shows but also needs to be culturally relevant and teach children about the world.
