KI.KA, EFP Sign on to Produce Preschool Series

LOS ANGELES, February 19:
Germany’s KI.KA and European Film Partners (EFP) of the Netherlands have come
aboard as co-production partners for the new animated fantasy-discovery series Chloe’s
Closet from Mike Young Productions
(MYP).

Additionally, EFP will serve
as the distribution agent on a variety of MYP and MoonScoop-produced shows in
Benelux, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

KI.KA and EFP join MYP and
co-producers S4C, Trickompany, Animation Dimension and Telegael on Chloe’s
Closet, which will be created at
studios in Wales, Germany, India and Ireland.

The 52×11-minute preschool
series follows the adventures of an imaginative little girl named Chloe, who
discovers magical new worlds while playing dress-up.

“This program is the
latest in a series of award-winning German/U.K./U.S. co-productions we’ve done
with Mike Young Productions,” said Sebastian Debertin, the head of fiction,
acquisition and co-production at KI.KA. “As one of the show’s original
co-developers (with MYP), we are especially happy to kick off the production
with them as well. Mike Young Productions has developed a reputation worldwide
for producing high-quality entertainment for kids and we’re certain Chloe’s
Closet will be next. We are also
particularly excited to be joined in this project by Trickompany, ensuring that
a significant piece of this international production will be created in
Germany.”
