Kew Media Distribution (KMD) has upped its VP of business development and producer relations, Graham Begg, to the position of senior VP of acquisitions and business development.

In the newly created position, Begg will oversee a broad portfolio of acquisition opportunities spanning scripted, non-scripted, documentary and factual-entertainment properties, as well as advise on corporate activities and business development initiatives. Begg will continue to work closely with Kew Media Group’s 13 production companies on collaboration opportunities with KMD and further exploiting those companies’ IP globally. Graham joined KMD in 2018.

Greg Phillips, president of KMD, said: “Since his appointment last year, Graham has been instrumental in securing several major projects and deals for us including BBC’s Worzel Gummidge, which was so well-received at MIPCOM, and a multiyear distribution agreement with leading LA-based media company Participant. He’s the ideal executive to propel our acquisitions strategy forward and to build new partnerships for KMD.”

Begg said: “After what has been an extremely productive and rewarding year, I look forward to expanding my contribution to the company and continuing to build on the amazing work of the KMD team across business development, sales and creative partnerships.”
