Jetix Europe Adds Iggy Arbuckle to Slate

AMSTERDAM/LONDON,
February 20: Jetix Europe has acquired the European pay-TV rights to the
adventure comedy Iggy Arbuckle, produced
by Blueprint Entertainment in association with National Geographic Kids’
Entertainment, for launch across its network this August.

Jetix Europe has also
acquired the European TV distribution rights to the show—with the
exception of free-TV in Germany and all French-speaking rights—as well as
the European home video and consumer product agency rights, excluding
Scandinavia and Central and Eastern Europe. Buena Vista International
Television will service the distribution of Iggy Arbuckle on behalf of Jetix Europe and will launch the 26
episodes at MIPTV.

Produced by Blueprint
Entertainment in association with National Geographic Kids’ Entertainment and
C.O.R.E Toons, Iggy Arbuckle is
a fast-paced animated series aimed at 6-to-11 year olds, following the
experiences of a nature-obsessed piglet, Iggy, and his friend Jiggers, the
beaver.

Iggy Arbuckle is a quirky new series that is full of colorful
characters and endless possibilities for new and exciting worlds to be
explored,” said Paul Taylor, the CEO of Jetix Europe. “Iggy Arbuckle is a great addition to the Jetix portfolio as it
combines the perfect blend of side-splitting comedy with off-the-wall,
imagination-inspiring adventure.”
