JetBlue Expands Entertainment Lineup

NEW YORK: The U.S. carrier JetBlue Airways has expanded its lineup of live on-air channels to include MSNBC, the soccer service GolTV and SPEED.

JetBlue’s lineup of DIRECTV programming will also feature Setanta Sports, from Saturday 5 a.m. to Monday 5 a.m., in place of TV Land. These join a lineup that already includes four ESPN-branded services; broadcast networks CBS, NBC, The CW and FOX; CNN and FOX News; Comedy Central; TBS; USA Network and Bravo, among others.

"JetBlue was the first major U.S. airline to broadcast live television at every seat," said Kim Ruvolo, the brand manager for JetBlue Airways. "We defined what it means to channel surf at 30,000 feet and continue to enhance that experience today. These new channels increase the variety of our programming, making the viewing experience even more enjoyable for even more customers. And the best part? Customers still have access to this in-flight entertainment without paying a cent."

In addition to complimentary in-flight entertainment, the airline offers JetBlue Features. Each month, six first-run movie titles are available -on flights longer than two hours for a $6 fee. The movies come from Disney, FOX, NBC Universal, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures and Warner Bros.
