JCP, Shout! Factory Reach Home Entertainment Deal

AMSTERDAM/LONDON/LOS ANGELES, July 10: Jetix Europe has
entered into an exclusive deal with Shout! Factory for the North American home
entertainment distribution of two animated properties: Pucca and the sci-fi action series Oban
Star-Racers.

Shout! Factory will represent the North American home
entertainment distribution rights for the two properties on behalf of Jetix
Consumer Products (JCP). The agreement includes 39 half-hour episodes of Pucca, as well as 26 half-hour episodes of Oban
Star-Racers, beginning in the first quarter
of 2008.

Based on the cult Korean property created by VOOZ Co., Pucca
originated as the cheeky, eponymous star of
an animated e-card service. The series follows Pucca, the daughter of a Chinese
restaurant owner, who is obsessed with her one true love, Garu. However, young
Garu would rather follow the stoic path of the Ninja and wants to be left in
peace. Oban Star-Racers is an
adventure series that chronicles the Great Race of Oban, an intergalactic racing
competition that takes place every 10,000 years to determine the winner of a
mysterious ultimate prize and the balance of powers within the Galaxy.
