Jason Priestley to Host International Emmys

NEW YORK: Jason Priestley, best known from the hit ’90s drama Beverly Hills, 90210, is to serve as the host for the 38th International Emmy Awards, taking place November 22 in New York City.

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will present awards across ten program categories, along with two special awards. American Idol judge and Got Talent executive producer Simon Cowell will receive the International Emmy Founders Award, while Saturday Night Live creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels will receive the International Emmy Directorate Award.

“Jason Priestley is a household name for millions of viewers worldwide and we’re delighted that he is joining our celebration of excellence in international television as our host,” said Bruce L. Paisner, the president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
