Janson Media Launches Ingrid Berman DVD

HARRINGTON PARK, August 3: Janson Media has announced the
worldwide DVD release of Ingrid Bergman Remembered, which explores the tumultuous life of the legendary
actress.

Originally produced by Wombat Productions for Lifetime, Ingrid
Bergman Remembered
takes viewers into the
life of the woman known for beauty, grace, talent—and a scandalous love
life. Born in 1915 in Stockholm, Sweden, the starlet attained renown for her
work in Casablanca, Gaslight and Anastasia. Before the time of supermarket tabloids, Bergman became entwined in a
storm of controversy, as her love affair with Italian director Roberto
Rossellini (whom she later married) led her to abandon her husband Peter
Lindstrom and their daughter Pia.

Narrated by Ingrid’s daughter Pia Lindstrom and with
additional retrospective from Isabella Rossellini, one of three children the
actress had with Roberto Rossellini, Ingrid Bergman Remembered documents the actress’s withdrawal from Hollywood,
her seven years in Italy and then her triumphant return to America until her
early death at age 67 from breast cancer. The one-hour story is told visually
through rare photographs and home movies, film clips, and newsreels. Extra
features, including an Ingrid Bergman photo gallery and an interview with
filmmaker Gene Feldman, help viewers explore deeper into one of Hollywood’s
biggest legends.

Ingrid Bergman Remembered is the third DVD title from Janson’s Hollywood Collection, an archive of 34 star biographies and
retrospectives produced by Wombat from 1985 to 1999.
