ITV Picks Up Three New U.S. Series for Prime Time

LONDON, June 6:
The U.K. commercial broadcaster ITV has acquired Pushing Daisies
from Warner Bros. International Television, and Swingtown and Cane from CBS Paramount International Television.

Pushing Daisies, a
forensic fairytale about a young man who has the ability to touch dead things
and bring them back to life, but winds up bringing his childhood sweetheart
back from the dead, will premiere on ITV’s flagship channel ITV1 and will
also play on ITV’s younger skewing channel ITV2.

Swingtown is set in the 1970s and follows a couple who moves their family to an
affluent Chicago suburb and discovers that they are worlds apart from their
former conservative neighbors. The series
will air on ITV1 and on the digital
high-quality drama channel ITV3.

And finally, Cane stars Jimmy
Smits (The West Wing) in this
drama about the external rivalries and internal power struggles of a large
Cuban-American family that runs a successful rum and sugar business in South
Florida.
