INX Media to Launch Channels in the Middle East

HONG KONG, June 19:
India’s INX Media will roll out its Hindi general-entertainment channel 9X,
along with its music network 9XM, in the Middle East.

INX Media has appointed
Dubai-based consultancy outfit Media Solutions to spearhead its expansion into
the Middle East. Media Solutions is helmed by Altaf Alimohamed, as the managing
director, who was most recently the executive VP of STAR TV in Dubai.

New shows premiering on 9X
include Mahaabhaarat, a drama
featuring well-known Indian stars, slated to roll out by August 15, as well as
the reality talent hunt Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, which will launch in July.

Peter Mukerjea, the
chairman and chief strategy officer at INX Media, said: “I am extremely proud

from my days at STAR when Altaf was running the Middle East region. I am
