MONTREAL: Following the recent wrap up of the made-for-TV movie Burden of Evil, Incendo has begun preparation on its next, Crisis Point, with both set to air on Canada’s The Movie Network, Movie Central and Super Écran in 2012.

Burden of Evil and Crisis Point are Incendo’s third and fourth made-for-TV movies of 2011. Josée Mauffette and Serge Denis produce, while Stephen Greenberg and Jean Bureau are executive producers.

Burden of Evil is about the kidnapping of a senator’s daughter and the homicide detective who heads up the investigation. In Crisis Point, a criminal psychologist is called back to work after her sister is taken hostage when the assailants demand that she be the negotiator.

“We have two very talented and seductive actresses heating up the set this summer,” Bureau said. “Natalie Zea (Dirty Sexy Money, Justified) plays the leading role in Burden of Evil while Rhona Mitra (The Gates, Boston Legal) stars in Crisis Point.”

“Incendo has also brought several summer blockbusters to Quebec theatres by way of its theatrical agreement with Paramount,” Greenberg said. “The summer season launched with the hugely successful release of Thor, which was quickly followed by three megahits: Kung Fu Panda 2, Transformers 3 and Captain America.”
