IFC, Salon.com Partner for Interstitial Series

NEW YORK, September 18:
Through an exclusive partnership, IFC will produce an original series of
interstitials, Beyond the Multiplex,
based on Salon.com’s arts and entertainment column of the same name.

The series of two-to-three
minute interstitials will feature conversations between the hosts covering an
array of film industry-related topics. Episodes will be taped in studio and
on-site at some of the industry’s notable film festivals throughout the year. Beyond
the Multiplex premiered
simultaneously on IFC and Salon.com on September 13, and a new interstitial
will premiere each Thursday night on both platforms and then float free on the
network.

the Multiplex will be hosted by
IFC News’ Matt Singer, whose work has appeared in the Village Voice and Shock Cinema; along with Salon entertainment columnists Andrew
O’Hehir, who has contributed to The New York Times, the Washington Post, Sight & Sound and The Hollywood Reporter, and Stephanie Zacharek, whose credits include The
New York Times, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and Spin, among others.
