iD Distribution Rolls Out Rainbow Media’s WE tv Programs

NEW YORK, February 13: On behalf of Rainbow Media,
London-based iD Distribution has inked deals to bring a range of Women’s
Entertainment (WE tv) content into markets around the world.

Among the latest round of sales of WE tv programs is Secret
Lives of Women
(9×1-hour and 12×1-hour), a
series exploring the double-lives that some women lead, which has been sold to
Kino Channel in the Ukraine, Sky Network Television in New Zealand and
Discovery U.K. Platinum Weddings, a
12×30-minute series centered on extravagant weddings, has been sold to TV4 Plus
in Sweden, Wedding TV and CEE in the U.K. and CJ Media in Korea. The
12×30-minute original series Daddy’s Little Spoiled Girl, which looks at father/daughter duos, has been sold to
Club Channel in Poland/Hungary and Foxtel in Australia. Deals were also
concluded on Katrina Weddings in
the U.K. and I Can’t Believe I Wore That in Poland, Hungary, Sweden, Korea and Israel, among others.

In 2006, WE tv series were sold into the U.K., Sweden,
Denmark, Belgium, Turkey, Finland, Korea, the Middle East and New Zealand.
Since launching its global expansion initiative just over a year ago, Rainbow
Media—through iD Distribution—has sold more than 1,000 hours of
programming from its VOOM HD, WE tv, IFC, Mag Rack and sportskool brands to broadcasters all over the world.
