Home-Video Agreement in Place for Sid the Science Kid

HOLLYWOOD, June 2: The Jim
Henson Company has named NCircle Entertainment as the home-video distributor
for its new animated preschool series Sid the Science Kid.

NCircle will exclusively
handle all home video and digital formats in the U.S. and Canada. Sid the
Science Kid
, formerly known as What’s
the Big Idea?
, is produced through
a partnership between The Jim Henson Company and KCET. The series, a
sketch-comedy format that uses digital puppetry animation, is currently in
production for 40 half-hour episodes, and is scheduled to debut on PBS KIDS on
September 1.
