NEW YORK/MIAMI: HIT Entertainment is rolling out a new branded block of preschool programming on free TV across Latin America, in partnership with Albavision, which operates a network of stations in Central and South America.

The 90-minute block has already premiered in Chile, Guatemala, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Bolivia and Argentina. Additional blocks will be added in Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru by the summer. This is the first branded kids’ block on Albavision’s affiliates. It also marks the first time that HIT content has aired on free TV in Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Peru.

The block will feature more than 600 episodes from the HIT library, airing in Spanish. HIT has already launched a block on TV Azteca in Mexico. “HIT characters have enjoyed immense popularity in the region, and we are very excited to bring our award-winning programming to even more children in Latin America with such a highly regarded partner as Albavision,” said Gabriela Arenas, senior VP for Latin America at HIT Entertainment. “With the success of the block on TV Azteca in Mexico, we anticipate an equally positive reaction to this new block by children and their families."
