History Channel HD Heads to Southeast Asia

NEW YORK/SINGAPORE, August
26: AETN All Asia Networks, a joint venture of A&E Television Networks and
ASTRO All Asia Entertainment Networks, is launching The History Channel HD in
Hong Kong and Singapore.

The channel will launch on
September 1 in Singapore on StarHub and in Hong Kong on now TV later that
month. The History Channel HD will broadcast 100 percent in high definition,
offering a separate schedule for the standard-definition service. Programs
included in the lineup are Cities of the Underworld, The Universe, Ax Men, Dogfights, Ancient Discoveries and Ice Road Truckers, and all will be fully languaged in Chinese.

AETN All Asia Networks’
general manager, Louis Boswell, said, “The reaction and feedback to The History
Channel since it launched last year across the region has been amazing, so I am
very happy that we are now able to give our viewers the opportunity to watch
the channel in its full glory in crystal clear HD. Once again, it underlines
