Promotions at BVITV Asia Pacific

HONG KONG, April 18: Buena
Vista International Television-Asia Pacific (BVITV-AP) has restructured its
sales division with promotions for Amit Malhotra, Mark Chan and Ramez Sheikh.

Amit Malhotra has been
assigned the role of regional director of sales, pan-Asia, India and Singapore
from his current position as director of sales for India. Malhotra, who joined
BVITV in 2004 as sales manager for India in Mumbai, will relocate to Hong Kong
on June 1 to take up his expanded role. A replacement in India is currently
being sought.

Mark Chan has expanded his
role to director of sales for Greater China. Based in Beijing as director of
sales for China, Chan will also relocate to Hong Kong to add that market and
Taiwan to his areas of responsibility.

Ramez Sheikh has been
promoted to senior manager of sales for Southeast Asia from his position as
manager of sales for Indonesia and emerging markets, including Vietnam, Sri
Lanka and Brunei. In addition to these markets, he will also cover, with
immediate effect, BVITV’s distribution business across all platforms in
Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines. He is based in Hong Kong.

Other announcements
include the appointments of Shreya Kapdi, as assistant manager for client
development in India and Karen Moon, as assistant manager of sales for South
Korea. Both Kapdi and Moon assume their roles with immediate effect. Kapdi will
be responsible for managing existing client relationships and exploiting
localization opportunities in India. Kapdi will be based in Mumbai and report
directly to Malhotra. Based in Seoul, Moon has been appointed to support
BVITV’s distribution business in South Korea, reporting directly to Shinbong
Kang, who oversees BVITV’s distribution business in addition to managing the
Disney Channel and Walt Disney Internet Group businesses in the country.
