HGTV Buys Kitchen Crimes

TORONTO, June 26: HGTV in the U.S. has picked up the first
season of the Canadian lifestyle program Kitchen Crimes from Picture Box Distribution, with an option to
acquire further episodes.

The series from Winnipeg’s Frantic Films, set to premiere on
July 9, blends forensics with interior design. The show follows hosts Marina
Hildebrand, an interior designer, and Rob Mancini, a public health inspector,
as they renovate kitchens, making them more aesthetically appealing, cleaner,
safer and more functional. “HGTV is looking forward to bringing this exciting
new addition to our lineup,” said Melissa Sykes, the SVP of programming at
HGTV. “The series takes a unique approach to kitchen design, combining problem
solving with a sense of humor and adventure. We’re sure our viewers will enjoy
it.”

The HGTV deal follows Picture Box’s licensing of the series
to Discovery Asia.
