HBO Bolsters Team for International Sales Initiative

NEW
YORK, September 27: HBO has appointed four new VPs of international
distribution and has upped Jennifer Bowen to senior VP of international
distribution, reporting to Charles Schreger, the president of programming
sales.

Carol
Eymery, Rose Marie Vega and Roberta Ibba-Hartog join recently promoted Dan
Selig as VPs, overseeing the international television distribution of HBO
programming and reporting to Bowen.

“Entering
MIPCOM as the sole distributor of HBO programming this year, we are very eager
to introduce our new sales team to the international television community,”
Schreger said. “We have assembled an incredible group of executives with a
wealth of experience in international distribution led by an excellent manager,
Jennifer and we look forward to a productive time at this year’s market.”

Bowen
joined HBO in 1995 as a sales associate for the company’s distribution
division, HBO Enterprises. As senior VP, she will oversee the worldwide
programming sales team responsible for international, boxing, airline and other
non-theatrical distribution. In addition, Bowen will directly manage sales to
several key territories.

Eymery,
formerly with FremantleMedia, will handle international sales and distribution
of HBO programming for the French-, German- and Italian-speaking territories.
Previously with Alliance Atlantis as VP of international distribution, Vega
will be responsible for sales in Latin America, Spain and Portugal. And
Ibba-Hartog, formerly with Sony Pictures Television International, will cover
the Central and Eastern European territories. Selig, who was promoted from
director of international distribution, will oversee programming sales to Asia,
Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, Greece and Israel.
