GRB Acquires Award-Winning PBS Series

SHERMAN OAKS: Among the more than 85 hours of new programming GRB Entertainment will be taking to MIPCOM is the PBS newsmagazine NOW.

The 52×30-minute series features in-depth interviews, on-the-scene reporting and thought-provoking stories typically overlooked by mainstream media. The weekly newsmagazine spans current events and issues on a global level.

NOW insightfully engages its audience by courageously telling important stories that affect all our lives,” said GRB’s founder, Gary R. Benz. NOW executive producer John Siceloff added, “NOW is thrilled to extend the reach and impact of our storytelling around the world by collaborating with GRB. We anticipate a long and very fruitful relationship with this excellent, respected company.”

Also on GRB’s MIPCOM slate, Pros vs Joes, produced for Spike TV, pits amateur athletes against the biggest names in professional sports. The Bureau, produced for Investigation Discovery, follows FBI agents as they look into dangerous cases such as terrorists, serial-killers, kidnappers, arms dealers and cyber criminals. In World’s Most Incredible, footage from around the world is presented on everything from dangerous exploits of adventures to exotic creatures, bizarre customs and scientific discoveries. Produced for Bravo UK, Danny Dyer’s Deadliest Men showcases interviews with some of the most notorious characters, who are tough, brutal and ruthless. Wicked Attraction, produced for Discovery, explores how serial killers and the women who love them are linked together through a bond of domination and sexual sadism.

“With the addition of these extremely successful and award-winning premium series, our catalogue continues to maintain its position of growth toward new and exciting directions,” commented GRB’s senior VP of international sales, Marielle Zuccarelli. “Our clients around the globe have come to expect the highest quality of unscripted entertainment from GRB, and we are proud to carry on this tradition in the new areas of sports competition and investigative reporting, as well as in genres we have already come to be known for, such as, factual crime and amazing videos.”
