Granada Media Australia to Change Name

SYDNEY: Granada Media Australia is set to rebrand as ITV Studios Australia, beginning in the new year.

Employees of ITV Studios Australia are relocating to the fifth level of Fox Studios Australia in Sydney’s Moore Park.

The second season of Mad as Hell will be the first programming to feature the new company logo. The new season is slated to premiere on ABC in 2013.

ITV Studios Australia is a fully-owned subsidiary of ITV plc. It has recently produced local adaptations of successful formats such as Dancing with the Stars, Australia’s Next Top Model and Four Weddings, to name a few.

Managing director Leonie Lowe commented: "Being a part of an internationally successful and recognizable business like ITV Studios is one of the many reasons why we are an attractive production partner in the region. This is an important step in continuing to grow our business and be even more closely aligned with our parent company; and also continues our work to establish new ITV Studios formats in this territory."
