Globo TV International to Showcase Diverse Portfolio at Screenings

RIO DE JANEIRO, May 7: Globo
TV International heads to the L.A. Screenings with a broad slate of original
programming that includes the new comedy The Cleaning Lady, along with telenovelas, mini-series and
documentaries.

The Cleaning Lady follows the mixups of a humorous cleaning woman
who is always willing to help her employers and friends. The show will soon air
in the Dominican Republic, Peru, Paraguay and Ecuador. The 24-episode series Heavy
Load, following the lives of two
truck drivers who take to the highways in search of adventure, will be on offer
at the market as well.

Globo TV International is
also set to screen the drama series Antonia, a co-production with O2, as well as the comedies Normal
People, Big Family and Under New Management. Additional offerings include the original
13-episode nature documentary series Globo DOC, which
unveils the colorful flora and fauna of Brazil, and telenovelas such as Tropical
Paradise, Little Missy, Seven Sins and Pages of Life.

“Globo DOC was specifically developed for the international
market based on TV Globo’s extensive documentary journalism material,” said
Flávio Rocha, the international director of content for Globo TV. “We took
advantage of all the technical resources at our disposal, as well as our vast experience
producing documentaries, to take ‘the best of Brazil’ to the international
market.”
