Globo Secures World Cup Rights Until 2014

SÃO PAULO, December 8: TV Globo has secured the Brazilian broadcast rights for the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup tournaments.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Brazilian broadcaster has been airing the World Cup for more than three decades. It outbid Rede Record for the rights to the lucrative soccer event.
