Global Television Unveils Fall Slate

TORONTO: The fall lineup of Canada’s Global Television includes the new musical-comedy Glee, alongside the animated Family Guy spin-off, The Cleveland Show.

From creator Ryan Murphy (Nip/Tuck), Glee is about a vibrant group of geeky misfits and the resurgence of the school’s unpopular glee club. The Cleveland Show follows the soft-spoken neighbor featured on Family Guy as he heads back to his hometown in Virginia and settles down with his high-school sweetheart.

Also new to the network are The Good Wife, starring Julianna Margulies (ER) as a scorned politician’s wife who must persevere beyond a very public scandal in her hometown of Chicago; NCIS: Los Angeles, a new installment in the franchise that will feature LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell leading a team of undercover surveillance investigators; and Melrose Place, a reinvention of the popular ’90s drama.

Returning prime-time hits include House, Lie to Me, NCIS, Bones, The Office, Survivor, Heroes, Brothers & Sisters, Family Guy and the 21st season of the iconic animated series The Simpsons.
