Gemini Winners Named for Drama, Children’s, Comedy, Variety

TORONTO: In the second of two industry galas, the Gemini Award winners in the categories of drama, children’s and youth, comedy and variety have been announced.

Best Animated Program or Series went to Glenn Martin, DDS, while Best Children’s or Youth Fiction Program or Series was awarded to Overruled!. In the non-fiction category for Children’s and Youth, Canada’s Super Speller took the win. The award in the preschool arena went to The Ocean Room. She Drives Me Crazy won for Best TV Movie.

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television also paid tribute to 2010 MasterWorks Television Honouree Polka Dot Door. The event was hosted by Art Hindle (E.N.G., Paradise Falls).
