JOHANNESBURG: FX has launched in Kenya on Zuku TV, with plans to expand its reach to several other African nations this year.

FX started broadcasting in sub-Saharan Africa on toptv last May. The channel has aired the likes of the global premiere of The Walking Dead, Chris Rock HBO Stand-up Special, Lie to Me, The Archer and The Office, among others.

“Given the exciting changes, Kenya is an important country for us to be in, and we see this as our firm entry into the East African market,” said Thandi Davids, the regional director for Africa at Fox International Channels.

“However, we are looking to extend our channel offering to people throughout the continent. The FX launch will bring to six the number of FIC channels available in Kenya, including Fox Entertainment, BabyTV, National Geographic Channel, National Geographic Wild and National Geographic Adventure,” she added.
