fuse Picks Up Planet Rock Profiles

NEW YORK, January 9: The
American music cable network fuse has secured the rights to Planet Rock
Profiles from Ireland’s Monster
Distributes for launch as part of a major programming revamp.

The initial agreement will
bring 55 Planet Rock interview
and performance episodes to fuse, including the North American premiere of the
series’ latest season. Artists selected by fuse include the Plain White Ts,
Evanescence, Nelly Furtado, Shakira, Alicia Keys, Beck, Green Day, Nickelback
and Foo Fighters. Other upcoming Planet Rock fuse premiere episodes include James Blunt and
Good Charlotte.

The new cable and
satellite deal with fuse adds more than 50 million homes to the viewership base
for Planet Rock Profiles. Currently
in its tenth season, the series airs in more than 162 countries worldwide, as
well as on 61 airlines and on video on demand. Production for the series is
ongoing.
