CANNES: There are a broad range of entertainment and factual-reality formats on offer at MIPTV from FremantleMedia, among them Dream School.

Dream School is a reality format that features well-known personalities—politicians, athletes, sporting stars, artists, authors, photographers—as they work with children who have failed within the traditional school system. The series launched on Channel Four in the U.K., with 2.9 million viewers tuning in.

On the factual-entertainment slate is Four Rooms, in which ordinary sellers are given the chance to sell their most precious possessions to one of the country’s four top collectible experts. They only get to visit each room once, so they can’t hear the next expert’s offer until they’ve reject what’s already on the table.

The game show Total Blackout tops the list as well. Created out of the FremantleMedia/Fuji creative exchange alliance, the series features contestants competing in outrageous challenges, all in complete darkness. The format recently launched in Belgium on VT4, Norway on TV Norge and Kanal 5 in Denmark. A launch is slated next for Sweden, with nine territory sales in total for the format.

Also from the Fuji alliance, Troubleshooter sets out to resolve disagreements by playing oversized games. The comedic game show features contestants publicaly attempting to end disputes by facing off in a series of games and challenges.

All for Love is a dating format that follows eight singles—four men, four women—on their search to find a soulmate. The show launched last month in Austria, increasing the channel’s average audience share by 63 percent.

Do the Right Thing watches as contestants compete to make the world a better place. Participants are thrown together to prove that they have what it takes to make it in the world of international volunteering. The show is already airing successfully on RTE Two in Ireland.

Storage Wars has been a ratings hit in the U.S. on A&E and FremantleMedia is now offering it up for international buyers. From Original Productions, the series is a modern-day treasure hunt through abandoned storage units. Following on the success of Hole in the Wall, Hole in the Wall Juniors features family teams competing. The series most recently aired on Cartoon Network in the U.S., where it was number one in its time slot with boys 6 to 14. The show has also been recommissioned for a second season.

Rounding out the slate are To Tell the Truth, the classic game of mystery and deduction; Push the Button, a revitalized version of the traditional family game show; and How Long Will You Live?, the ultimate health check-up for those who seem destined for an early grave.
