FremantleMedia Announces Exec Appointments

CANNES: A trio of appointments have been made within FremantleMedia, including Vasha Wallace being promoted to senior VP of format acquisitions.

Wallace was behind the acquisition of Hole in the Wall and Let’s Dance, and will expand her responsibilites to include all format acquisition across the FremantleMedia Group, including scripted and unscripted formats. In addition to global, single and multi-territory acquisitions, Wallace will also identify new long-term partnership opportunities as well as potential Talent Fund deals.

Over at FremantleMedia Japan, Fuji Television veteran Shingo Ishiyama has been tapped as president and representative director. Based in Tokyo, Ishiyama will be responsible for all FremantleMedia production operations in Japan as well as for raising awareness of the FremantleMedia brand within the Japanese market. Ishiyama will further be tasked with developing existing and new key strategic relationships with both broadcast and non-broadcast partners.

Meanwhile, Carl Zuzarte has been named managing director of FremantleMedia Indonesia. Based in FremantleMedia’s Indonesian office, Zuzarte will report to Patrick Schult, FremantleMedia Asia’s CEO, who is based in Singapore. In his new post, Zuzarte will work closely with various divisions such as production, operations and business development to leverage the FremantleMedia brand within the Indonesian media market. Before joining FremantleMedia, Zuzarte was the head of MTV content and creative for Viacom Brand Solutions and MTV Southeast Asia.
