Foxtel Debuts New Music Proposition

Foxtel has teamed up with Nightlife Music and LiSTNR and extended its partnership with Vevo for 34 new music channels.

“Music is a big part of Australian entertainment culture, and our new offering on Foxtel unlocks a world of choice, variety and fresh ways to experience music,” said Hilary Perchard, chief executive of Foxtel, Kayo Sports and BINGE. “This exciting evolution is all about connecting our customers—across all demographics—with the genres and brands they love, while also championing Australian talent. With the most extensive lineup of music on TV and streaming, we are uniting more Aussie companies as Australia’s greatest entertainer.”

As part of the partnership with Nightlife Music, the ad-free and locally programmed channels becoming available are Trending, a mix of top pop hits and predictions, plus what’s trending in the charts and on TikTok; Kids, with a selection for kids in the morning, tweens in the afternoon and teens at night; Club, with the best of dance, club and electronic music; Retro, with hits from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s; CMC, featuring country hits; Max, with easy listening classics and contemporary hits; and Australian Played, featuring Australian artists only.

The Nightlife Music channels are available for Foxtel and BINGE subscribers.

LiSTNR music will make its Foxtel debut as its new linear audio music partner, featuring a curated lineup of 25 LiSTNR playlists. This includes Triple M’s suite of stations (Classic Rock, Country, 70s, 90s, 90s and 2000s)l The Hit Network’s lineup of stations (RnB Fridays Radio, Dance Hits, Blender Beats, Oldskool 80s and 90s Hits and Easy Hits); Indie & Alt, with new favorites and cult classics from the indie and alternative genres; chill and acoustic channels such as Almost Acoustic, RnB Chill, Deep Calm and Chill Pop Hits; and “good vibes” and road-trip playlists that feature uplifting pop songs and sing-along classics.

The LiSTNR audio channels are available for Foxtel IP connected iQ3+ subscribers.

New Vevo channels are also part of Foxtel’s music expansion. Vevos 70s, featuring the biggest songs from that decade from pop, R&B, rock and country, and Vevo Country, with hits from the biggest country artists, are now available. They are available for Foxtel IP connected iQ4+ subscribers.
