Fox Sports International to Distribute Soccer Competition

LOS ANGELES, March 4: Fox
Sports International has signed a deal with Camelot Island Entertainment to
distribute its 2008 Free Kick Masters event to a worldwide audience.

This year’s event takes
place on July 5 in Houston’s Reliant Stadium in the U.S. Among the free kickers
expected to appear are Ronaldinho Gaucho, Rafael Marquez, Lionel Messi,
Alessandro Del Piero, Deco, Sun Ji and Sun Xiang. The list of goalkeepers
includes Oliver Kahn, Francesco Toldo and Kasey Keller.

The event is a
skills-based international soccer competition featuring some of the world’s
top-rated players competing against the premier goalkeepers. With a format
similar to the NBA’s Slam Dunk Challenge and MLB’s Home Run Derby, the shootout
is designed to determine the world’s “Free Kick Master,” who will receive $1
million, and “Golden Goalkeeper,” who will take home $500,000. The previous
Free Kick Masters event featured a sold out stadium in Marbella, Spain, and was
broadcast to more than 30 countries with an estimated 110 million viewers.
