Fox Networks Group Pulls Plug on Reality Channel

LOS ANGELES: Fox Networks Group’s Fox Reality Channel is scheduled to cease running new programming as of March 31, but may continue to broadcast shows from its library until it is rebranded.

“With the changing cable landscape, we’ve made a strategic decision to shift some resources and focus on emerging channels," Fox Networks Group said in a statement. It is not clear what the company plans to do with Fox Reality, which reaches about 50 million homes. Its programming slate includes originals such as American Idol Extra and Househusbands of Hollywood, as well as reality titles from the Fox library and acquisitions from other networks.
