LOS ANGELES: After just two episodes, Lone Star has become the first cancellation of the fall season, with FOX replacing the show with season three of Lie to Me.

While the show was among the best-reviewed of the season, its premiere delivered about 4.1 million viewers, while episode two shored up just 3.7 million. Lie to Me, starring Tim Roth, takes the Monday 9 p.m. slot beginning Monday, October 4.

Other new shows that have received tepid ratings this season include ABC’s My Generation and The Whole Truth and NBC’s Outlaw.
