Food Network Veteran Bags New Series

TORONTO, August 24: Anna Olson has been tapped to host a new
series for Food Network Canada, Fresh with Anna Olson from Peace Point Entertainment Group, premiering
early 2008.

Each episode will feature the eponymous host preparing three
recipes for special local events from her Niagara region country home. The show
will incorporate cooking under her personal mantra “eat fresh, eat local.” Fresh
with Anna Olson is executive produced by
Peace Point Entertainment Group’s Les Tomlin and Vallery Hyduk, produced by
Mark Milliard and directed by John Choi. It has already secured a two-season
order, for a total of 26 half-hour episodes that will see production continuing
until November.

Olson’s previous Food Network series, Sugar, produced by Alliance Atlantis, ran for five seasons
and has been sold in almost 60 countries including the U.S., India, China,
Brazil, Mexico, Australia, Romania and Poland. Prior to Sugar, Olson had another Food Network hit with Kitchen
Equipped, which ran for three seasons. She
is also the owner of The Olson Foods and Bakery in the Niagara Falls region of
Canada and author of three cookbooks.
