Spike Orders MGM Pilot

NEW YORK, October
9: Spike TV has picked up a two-hour pilot from MGM Television
Entertainment about the Irish mob in Boston, with an option to order a full
series.

Production on the pilot begins late this fall, with Walter
Hill, who recently worked on the AMC Emmy-winning mini-series Broken Trail, serving as director. Chris Bertolini wrote the
script and the original drama is executive produced by Ultimate Fighting
Championship’s president, Dana White, and Tom Lynch and the Tom Lynch Company.

Scheduled to shoot on location in Boston, the story revolves
around the fallout that occurs when a Boston mob boss abruptly vacates his
position and various rival factions face off in an epic battle to control the
streets.
