NEW YORK: FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has picked up the worldwide distribution, brand licensing and home-entertainment rights, excluding Canada, to the new tween live-action sitcom Really Me from Fresh TV.

Really Me follows 15-year-old Maddy, who wins a contest to get her own reality TV show. She quickly realizes that her family will never be the same, as now they have no privacy, an uptight producer and a fridge-raiding camera guy surrounding them. She is now navigating the mishaps, drama and embarrassing moments that come with being a teen all in front of the camera for the world to see.

The show was developed by Fresh TV in association with Family Channel.

Sander Schwartz, FME’s head of children’s and family entertainment, said, “Fresh TV has done it again with Really Me, bringing a great show with a great cast to television. We are honored to be working with them.”

Bob Higgins, FME’s senior VP of programming for children’s and family entertainment, added, “Really Me is a great next show for Fresh TV to follow My Babysitter’s a Vampire. It’s smart, funny and clever…traits common to all of Fresh TV’s fare."

Tom McGillis, the president Fresh TV, commented, “Making a sitcom about a reality show is a real head spinner! We had to plan every scene out to make sure that the logic and the laughs all tracked. The results surpassed all our expectations—and so did our stellar cast. Sydney Imbeau is an emerging star to watch.”
