FME, Steve & Barry’s in New Retail Partnership

NEW YORK, May 8: American
retail chain Steve & Barry’s will collaborate with FremantleMedia
Enterprises (FME) on the rollout of a new apparel line incorporating signature
phrases and iconography from classic game shows like The Price is Right, Press Your Luck, Password, Match Game and Card
Sharks
.

This deal marks the first
direct-to-retail program based on these game shows. The apparel line is
expected to roll out in all Steve & Barry’s stores in the U.S. this fall.
The line will include short-sleeved T-shirts for men, women and juniors.
Potential expansion categories consist of sweatpants/athletic pants, jerseys,
jackets, windshirts, shorts, hats, underwear, performance bodywear, pajamas,
onesies and accessories.

Steve & Barry’s
currently operates more than 260 stores in 38 states, and anticipates opening
an additional 70 locations this year as part of an aggressive expansion plan.

“Our game-show library has
introduced TV watchers to some of the most memorable moments and catch phrases
in pop culture,” said Nora Wong, the senior manager of consumer products for
FremantleMedia Enterprises in North America. “This apparel line will tap into
this pop-culture relevance in a fun way.”
